‘Tesla Electric Motorcycle’
Elon Musk is a noted futurist, making it unsurprising that his new startup, The Boring Company, is selling flamethrowers for $500. But these aren’t just any flamethrowers. According to TechCrunch, they’re guaranteed to liven up any party! Indeed, in an Instagram post on Friday morning, Musk revealed what he called a Tesla electric motorcycle. When will it arrive? What can it do? Should you buy one? Let’s take a closer look!
Yes, Elon Musk is planning to unveil an electric motorcycle. I know what you’re thinking: Who cares? What good is a little battery-powered bike that can’t carry anything or go very far on a charge? That was my thought at first, but I might be eating my words! The specs have changed over time and are subject to change again, but as of April 2022, we can expect some pretty cool features for our money.
In November 2017, Fortune reported that Elon Musk has a lot of money invested in his electric motorcycle company. As of mid-2017, The Boring Company had an estimated $112 million worth of assets and another $108 million in liabilities. Most of that cash is probably tied up in future projects, but it seems clear that he’s not just doing this for fun! That said, there are questions about whether he can sell any bikes at all. After all, there are cheaper (and more practical) options out there if you want to spend less than $20,000 on an electric bike.
Elon Musk Revealed Tesla Electric Motorcycle
Elon Musk has finally revealed his master plan to change transportation. In a 115-page document, titled Master Plan, Part Deux (part one was published in 2006), Musk describes how he will incorporate autonomous driving, ride-sharing and car-sharing. But that’s not all. The plan also involves what is being called an electric skateboard—which looks like it might be as fun as it is practical—and a mini-submarine that can be used for underwater rescue missions.
The electric skateboard, called a zap wheel, will be capable of travelling up to 250 miles per hour and will not require you to do anything but the balance on it. It won’t have any steering wheel or handlebars—just a simple platform for riders. When used in combination with either Hyperloop or a vacuum-tube transport network, where a trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles takes 30 minutes by vehicle, travel becomes: effortless, fast and convenient at speeds never before possible, Musk wrote in his plan.
The tube-based transport network will use pods that can travel at high speeds through vacuum tubes. This network will be able to take you from city centre to city centre—without any traffic, according to Musk. And if you’re afraid of heights, don’t worry—the system is built on pylons that are constructed 100 feet underground. While private vehicles are ideal for road trips, public transportation allows more people to travel more efficiently and safely at higher speeds than cars in most cases, Musk wrote in his plan.
Details About the ‘Tesla-Electric-Motorcycle’
Details About The ‘Tesla-Electric-Motorcycle’: On Thursday, Elon Musk dropped a bombshell about his next product: an electric motorcycle. Two years after he rolled out his first car—the extravagantly expensive, all-electric Model S sedan—Musk is planning to develop what could be one of his most accessible products yet: an all-electric bike, powered by batteries and capable of reaching a top speed of 130 miles per hour. In fact, Musk says he already has prototyping underway at one of his other companies, SpaceX. It’s gonna be awesome, he told an audience at a tech conference in Los Angeles on Thursday night, as reported by The Verge.
Details About The ‘Tesla-Electric-Motorcycle’: The announcement follows Musk’s sale of his first company, PayPal, to eBay for $1.5 billion in 2002, after which he went on to found two more businesses—electric car maker Tesla Motors and aerospace outfit SpaceX—and purchase a fourth, SolarCity. Elon Musk Revealed -Tesla-Electric-Motorcycle. Now one of America’s most revered entrepreneurs (and its 21st richest person), Musk took a break from his business empire last year when he married musician Talulah Riley in London (they now live together in Los Angeles). With Thursday night’s announcement, however, it seems that his hands will soon be full once again.
Although no price was mentioned for the upcoming bike, it seems unlikely that it will be quite as expensive as his other creations. The Model S—which is widely acclaimed as one of 2014’s best cars—is priced from $72,000 to $105,400. But don’t expect a cheap product from Musk anytime soon. He told conference attendees that he envisions a future in which we all drive solar-powered cars—and that’s why he wants to bring electric vehicles to everyone.
Elon Musk – Inventor and Engineer
Elon Musk is an inventor and entrepreneur, who has founded multiple companies that have revolutionized industries. He is currently a founder of SpaceX, CEO of Tesla Motors and Chairman of SolarCity. In May 2017 he revealed his vision for future transportation via a slick video presentation that left many wondering if he was joking or not. He introduced his latest venture – a next-generation electric motorcycle called The Futurist. This bike will be unlike anything on the market and is scheduled to be unveiled in late 2016.
The Futurist is an all-electric vehicle, it will have a powertrain similar to that of a high-performance supercar. It’s expected to get about 400 miles per charge and accelerate from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds! Due to its super sleek design and whisper-quiet operation, Elon Musk calls it the kind of thing you can ride without a motorcycle license. The exact specifications are unknown as are pricing and availability but industry analysts are predicting a base price tag of more than $100,000 and production numbers around 100 units annually. If that is true then Elon musk may have invented something that everyone wants.
That would be a good start for his new company. It seems like Elon Musk has been busy lately with multiple projects on his plate including SpaceX and Tesla Motors. He recently announced plans to build another gigafactory for lithium-ion batteries – which he says will double the worldwide capacity for electric car batteries by 2020. The latest gigafactory will be built near Reno Nevada at a cost of $5 billion dollars. This means that there is no doubt Elon Musk has some big plans in store for us in 2017 and beyond!
Elon Musk’s Billion-Dollar Empire
Elon Musk has built a $20 billion empire that spans luxury electric cars, solar roofs, and super-fast underground trains. But how did he get there? Well, Elon started at age 12 when he sold his first video game to a computer magazine for $500. From then on out Elon has been making bold bets in order to change our world for the better. One of those bold bets was investing all of his money into Tesla Motors and loaning money to SpaceX so that they could continue working on their projects. Elon doesn’t just invest his own money into his companies, he invests other people’s money as well. Most recently, in August 2017 he raised almost $500 million dollars from investors by selling new shares in both SpaceX and Tesla Motors Inc (TSLA).
Elon’s mission with Tesla Motors was to change people’s views of electric cars and make them popular. Today, every major car company has a fully-electric or hybrid line. But what they don’t have is Elon Musk. He invested $70 million of his own money into SpaceX so that they could bring space travel to regular people. He later merged SpaceX with another private spaceflight company, called Constellation Research, so that all of their resources could be combined to make something bigger: The Interplanetary Transport System (ITS). A vehicle capable of taking 100 people and 150 tons of cargo on a trip between Earth and Mars in under a month using 200 metric tons of fuel!
Elon believes we can colonize Mars by 2040. With Elon’s leadership, anything is possible. If you want to learn more about Elon Musk, you should read Ashlee Vance’s book Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future. Or watch any of Elon’s interviews online. You won’t regret it!
